Can I hit real balls into the screen?

Yes our golf impact screens are designed to handle full shots from real golf balls.

What are your office hours?

Online agents are generally available Monday-Friday from 9AM-9PM EST. Our main office in North Carolina is open Monday-Friday from 8:30AM-5:00PM.

Is there an annual fee or subscription?

Most launch monitors, including SkyTrak, Uneekor, GolfJoy and others include a driving range and a few others "non-course play" features at no extra cost. However, in order to play on golf courses they almost all require an annual subscription. Note that this is in addition to the cost of the golf simulation software itself, which is available from a number of 3rd party vendors.

One exception to this is Optishot. You get course play on a limited number of golf courses for free when you purchase one of their launch monitors, such as the Optishot Orbit.

How long will my golf screen last?

Since golf hitting screens are fabric products, they will naturally wear over time. Factors such as swing speed, ball type, hitting position, and frequency of use will each affect the life of the screen. Many customers are able to get years of service out of our golf screens, while some may need to replace their screen sooner.

To extend the life of your golf impact screen we recommend using a baffle net, increasing the hitting distance, and using only newer "unscuffed" golf balls. The use of lighter weight products such as "Almost" Golf Balls (1/3 weight) can also significantly extend the life of your golf screen, although the shot distances will typically be shorter than when using real golf balls.

What is Aspect Ratio?

Aspect Ratio refers to the relative width/height of the image. The first number refers to the horizontal (width). The second number refers to the vertical (height).

A 1:1 ratio would result in a perfectly square image.

A 4:3 ratio creates a rectangle that is 25% wider than it is tall. If you know how tall your screen is just multiply the height * 1.25 and you will get the correct width for a 4:3 Aspect Ratio!

A 16:9 ratio creates a rectangle that is 78% wider than it is tall. Multiply your screen height * 1.78 to get the resulting width of a 16:9 image.

As you can see, the aspect ratio plays an important role in determining how wide your space must be to work.

In general projectors will offer a native aspect ratio of either 4:3, 16:9 or 16:10.

For the best image quality, we recommend using the native settings of your projector if possible

What is ViewPort?

The viewport refers to the white portion of the screen that is visible after installation of your golf simulator bay. This is the largest area available for your projected image.

We give careful consideration to the size of our golf hitting enclosures and the resulting viewport of your screen. Enclosures designed by AllSportSystems maintain a balance between a good image size and safe enclosure size.

How far away from the screen will my projector be?

Each projector has a specific throw ratio, which is an expression of image width divided by distance from the screen. For example a projector with a 0.5 throw ratio can produce a 10ft wide image from 5 feet. For Golf simulation we recommend short throw projectors with a throw ratio of 0.5 to 0.7 as they place the projector close enough to the screen so that the golfer will not block the image.

Throw distance from the screen can be calculated for other projectors using online projector throw calculators for your projector model.

How does screen size relate to enclosure or bay size?

All of our golf enclosures are listed according to the outside dimensions of the frame. This guarantees your enclosure will comfortably fit within the space you have designated for your simulator. The screen size will always be smaller than the enclosure size by a few inches, since the interior trim will consume some of that space. If you have a specific bay in mind, give us a call or chat and we will be happy to help you!

How big does my system, bay, or enclosure need to be?

For best overall function, safety and swing clearance an enclosure height of 9ft or more is recommended where possible. If your space is smaller though, enclosures measuring 8ft tall or less can also work. You will just be limited in terms of which clubs you can swing safely..

All golf hitting enclosures from AllSportSystems can be customized to any height, width or depth. Do not hesitate to reach out with any questions about customizing your enclosure or about image fit for any of our golf bay enclosures.

How much space do I need around, above, or behind my bay?

This varies considerably depending on the bay. Our MicroBay and SuperBay golf enclosures can sit directly against a rear wall. Other bays require a gap behind since the screen is mounted in the rear.

When deciding what size enclosure to order note that the side and top netting extensions work best with about 12″ clearance from walls, ceilings, or other objects.

How long does it take to ship?

Our production team works every day to minimize the time it takes for us to produce your orders. Non-customized golf screens and bays generally ship within just a few business days. Custom products will usually take longer, especially if custom netting is required. We recommend speaking with a rep to get the best estimate for your seleections..

Please note that -transit- time depends on the shipping method you choose when checking out. That time starts when the order is picked up by the shipper.

Do you ship internationally?

AllSportSystems ships around the world. If you want to confirm shipping to your location simply add some items to your cart, and begin the checkout process.

What about import taxes for international orders?

Please note that we are not responsible for, and have no control over import taxes, duties, or fees that your country may impose upon receipt of goods shipped from the USA. Any such fees must be paid directly by you as the recipient. As is required by US export laws, we state the actual value of all orders on all invoices and paperwork we prepare for international orders.

Are the products you sell in stock? Is the * in stock?

In our warehouse we stock all of the components needed to produce everything that we manufacture, including golf screens, golf bays and enclosures, stance mats, netting systems, pole kits, etc. We do our very best to stay "ahead of the curve" so we can ship finished produxts from pre-built stock whenever possible.

Which is better? Is Skytrak better? Is Uneekor better? Is Optishot better? Is Garmin better?

Each of these devices have their own strengths. The Garmin and Optishot launch monitors are entry level products at a very affordable price, but they do not offer as accurate (or the same amount of) data as the SkyTrak or Uneekor products do. We recommend that you chat or speak with one of our sales reps to get the best launch monitor your budget will permit!

Is skytrak better than uneekor?

Uneekor offers an overhead option, which is an excellent choice if you have the room for it. Some Uneekor launch monitors can also provide video data about the golfer's swing.

What is your golf screen fabric made from? What kind of fabric is used in your screens?

Our golf screens are made from high quality Nylon and are treated with fire retardant. The Elite Multilayer fabric includes a foam interior and produces the highest quality image and longest lifespan golf impact screen you will find anywhere!

What is the lowrider made of?

The LowRider Under Desk Yoke Mount is made from machine cut ABS plastic.

What is the difference between the Standard,  Premium, and Elite Golf Screen fabrics?

We offer two fabric upgrades for our golf screens:  Premium and Elite. The Premium fabric is a single-ply nylon that is more tightly woven than the Standard Fabric. Projected images will be sharper and approximately 50% brighter when you have our Premium screen.

The Elite Fabric is a 3-ply multilayer material with a foam core that absorbs and dampens golf shots, reducing impact noise. Projected images will be considerably sharper and brighter on our Elite fabric than on any other material. This material is highly recommended for HD and 4K projectors.

What is the difference between the Super Bay and the DIY Bay?

The SuperBay and DIY Bay differ significantly in design, primarily in screen positioning, structural protection, and light-blocking features:

Screen Placement: The SuperBay offsets the screen about 12 inches from the back of the cage, allowing the bay to sit directly against a back wall. This design reduces the likelihood of the screen touching the wall during impacts and also protects rear poles from ball strikes.

Safety Features: The SuperBay includes a bafflenet behind the screen as standard. This safety net allows the screen to flex within the 12-inch gap, absorbing impact without hitting the back wall. The Shot Defender valance also protects the screen pole from ball strikes, adding durability and keeping a clean look along the top of the bay.

Screen Tension: Tension in the SuperBay is managed with cables on the right and left sides of the screen, creating an ideal balance between flexibility and stability to reduce excessive ball rebound. This cabling system optimizes the screen's resilience and impact absorption.

Light Blockage and Durability: Unlike the DIY Bay, which uses only fabric, the SuperBay provides double-layer protection. The cage is wrapped in netting, then blackout fabric, blocking light and creating an enhanced image on the screen. This setup makes it one of the most durable options, designed to prevent balls from penetrating the enclosure.

In short, the SuperBay is a premium bay with additional safety and durability features, offering superior protection and a professional finish compared to the more basic DIY Bay.
